Clara Benedetti

Attorney

I read nursing home charts the way I once wrote them.

Before law school I worked as a nurse in long-term care. I know what a turning schedule, a fall-risk assessment and a medication record are supposed to look like, and what it means when one is missing.

I lead the firm's nursing home neglect cases, and I work alongside families who are often still caring for the person who was hurt.

How Clara works

When a family calls me, the first question is whether their parent is safe now. The case comes second.

I request the full chart, the care plan, staffing records and incident reports, and I read every page. The answer is usually in the gap between what the plan said and what the chart shows.
