Questions

Questions people ask us

If yours isn't here, call. We'd rather answer it than have you wonder.

Does it cost anything to talk to you?

No. The first meeting is free and you're under no obligation afterward.

How is your fee worked out?

As a share of what we recover, agreed in writing before we start. If there's no recovery, there's no attorney fee. Case costs are separate; the agreement says how they're handled.

What should I bring to the first meeting?

Whatever you have: the police report number, photographs, insurance letters, medical paperwork. If you have nothing yet, come anyway.

Should I talk to the other driver's insurance company?

Give them only your name and contact details until you've spoken with a lawyer. Don't give a recorded statement or sign a release.

My own insurer is asking questions. Do I have to answer?

Your policy probably requires you to cooperate with your own insurer. We can be on the call with you.

Is there a deadline to bring a claim?

Yes, and it depends on the kind of claim and who's responsible. Claims against a city or state agency can need notice within months. Call early.

What if I don't have health insurance?

You can still get treatment. We can help you find doctors who will wait for payment until the case ends.

What if I was partly at fault?

You may still recover. Your share of the fault can reduce the amount, which is why the facts matter so much.

Will my case go to trial?

Most settle. We prepare each one as if it will be tried, because that's what produces a fair offer.

Can a family member call for me?

Yes. If you're in the hospital, a spouse, parent or adult child can call, and we'll come to you.

Still have a question?

Call, or write a few lines, and an attorney will call you back.
